Account Restrictions is Roblox's most comprehensive parental control feature. When enabled, it applies a range of safety settings designed to create a more protected experience.

What Account Restrictions Do

• Chat Filtering: Applies stricter chat filters to block inappropriate content
• Game Access: Limits access to age-appropriate games only
• Contact Limitations: Restricts who can message or chat with your child
• Account Changes: Prevents changes to key account settings without PIN verification

How to Enable Account Restrictions

1. Log in to your child's Roblox account
2. Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the upper right corner to access Settings
3. Select the "Privacy" tab
4. Under "Account Restrictions," toggle the switch to "On"
5. Create a 4-digit PIN when prompted (remember this PIN!)

Privacy settings allow you to control who can interact with your child on Roblox. These settings can be customized based on your child's age and maturity level.

Contact Settings

Control who can contact your child through various channels:

• Chat: Who can chat with your child in games (Friends, Friends & Users I've Played With, Everyone, No One)

• Friend Requests: Who can send friend requests (Friends of Friends, Everyone, No One)

Other Interaction Settings

• Who can join me: Controls who can follow your child into games
• Who can invite me to VIP Servers: Limits who can invite your child to private game servers
• Who can message me: Determines who can send in-experience messages

How to Configure Privacy Settings

1. Log in to your child's Roblox account

Roblox offers several ways to manage and limit spending on your child's account. These controls help prevent unauthorized purchases and teach responsible spending habits.

Monthly Spending Limit

Set a maximum amount that can be spent on the account each month:

PIN Protection
